This is extraordinary. Utterly amazing album. "Sun" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces of techno ever created. Perfect. "Abrighterday" is almost equally fantastic: intense, timeless and still feels ancient. "Apricot" is a beautiful ambient soundscape that lulls you to sleep. "Strike" is very solemn, the drums are pulsating within a deep ambient soundscape.

The spooky, moody tracks "Sniper" and "Themurderpeople" feels misplaced on this album. They are both good but still does not match the supreme quality of the other tracks and does not conform to the mood of the album in my opinion. Still, this album is unparalleled. Even if you are only remotely inmterested in dubby techno and ambient, this is a must-have.

Thankyou 154.

Delsin just keep 'em coming!
154 (alias Ross 154, Newworldaquarium et al)has conjured some real deep somnolent numbers here.
The opening track 'Sun' has you picturing what it must be like opening your eyes on a sharp sunny wintry morning somewhere for the first time & all those initial thoughts running through your mind, almost like birth.
One of my favourite tracks.
Another is 'Apricot'. This one has me remembering the first time hearing AFX Twin & ambient music & how special that was. That initial excitement about finding something for 'inner peace' while the world goes crazy!
To be honest, I could write about all of these with such passion & colour which they truly paint (in my mind). This is a mesmerizing album of which I have found my sleeping patterns tuned into many times.

Trivia: This album has been in the making for about 11 years too.
"Keep me sleeping 154!".

For all the basic channel fans! Ambient, dubby techno and even some dark techno like Apathism. Put some dust under your needle and play this record. Nostalgic memories to those days when techno was fresh and interesting..
