After hearing the first 25 seconds you will think the quirky and tongue in cheek charm will quickly wear off. Hold on to your cowboy hat there patna! After the first few tracks i think almost a desert version of Apollo atmospheres-like release that Eno did. if you like any of the label EG editions and Eno / Morricone type style background ambience then you will dg this.

I first came across a natural home for A Small Good Thing on a em:t compilation back in 1995. Well good things come 16 years later when I finally came across this release in a second hand used shop. Thankfully I picked up both this and the 1&2 release that has part 1 and 2. Very nice listen

The very best in heat-haze ambience... sliding, shimmering, not a little tonuge in cheek, and not a little atmospheric either.

Members of O Yuki Conjugate and Sons of Silence do Ennio Morricone-flavored high desert ambience. Lots of great Western movie samples cleverly nestled among shimmering slide steel guitar and gorgeous wide-open reverberating synths. Similar in theme but lighter in tone than Steve Roach & Roger King's "Dust to Dust" album. Not much else out there like it, except for "Slim Westerns II" recently released on Leaf.
