This track already had legendary anthem status attached to it even before Carl Cox got his hands on it.

The Carl Cox remix essentially tightens up the production, actually giving it a more driving and hypnotic trancey feel than the slightly ravey original release. In fact, the result is not what one might expect from Carl Cox, but remains a master stroke.

Many years on, this track still provides a guide for how to produce crowd pleasing hard trance.

comparing to the remixes from 2001 of this 90s classic from Germany here you find a wider range of mixes: a close to the original mix from Mr. Cox, more (Hard) House-related mixes from Watchman and Timewriter and even dark and ravy style from Norman (Feller)!

Jesus Christ! A real shame what Tom Wax and Thorsten Adler to their classic Track by adding the "Butterfly" Theme and re-releasing it as "Rock & Roll Mix". A former anthem of the movement, became reworked to triviality, this time by the original producers themselves. This is a good example for how damaging for the reputation it can be, trying to get out the last cent possible off a production. Enjoy the cash, Tom and Thorsten, but please do us one favor: Hands off "Wicked Plastic Man"!
