Speedy J's take on Adam Beyer's superb Ignition Key is extremely well orchestrated in such a fashion that it lures the listener into believing that it will eventually take off, but it never does...
The bass line is deep and throbbing, the percussion steadily picks up in pace and intensity, only to be broken down around 03:15 mark, with a great supply of strings and chords pushing through to the forefront. From there on, the track rebuilds itself back up, with the percussion and all, the ever evolving and changing melodic snippets coming from all over, and the great piano lead six minutes into the track only increases your impatience as you're just waiting for it to erupt, but it never does...
One of Jochem Paap's more daring remixing steps, with fascinating arrangement and a stunning diversity in tones and noises applied throughout, but nevertheless, I think the track looses focus half way through, after the first break down, and then just aimlessly roves around with nothing much going on you haven't already been exposed to during the initial four minutes.
On a little side note: despite all of its eventual setbacks, this has got to be the single greatest set opener I have ever heard. Period. The huge bass line, the multiple layers with the onmarching percussion make this THE track to open up with, but you've got to make sure to follow up with a neck snapping techno monster. As a DJ tool, this one gets my highest nod of approval, as for home listening purposes, mr. Paap has one too many times provided us with better stuff.

Aril Brikha has recorded some amazing material for the likes of Transmat and Fragile, here he turns out a superb Detroit influenced remix with lavish chords, creating an absolute masterpiece. The Speedy J mix is just as stunning and can only be described as a 10 minute epic that just builds, drops and layers. Clearly the work of two true leaders in the field.
