Indeed, this is the must-have for any trance collector or DJ. It epitomizes the euphoric trance style of the early nineties, and is arguably one of the greatest trance tracks ever. Now, add on Jam & Spoon's "Watch Out For Stella" Club Mix, and you have yourself an amazing trance experience. Its use of obscure synths and high pitched sounds make it sound extraordinarily unique, and the manipulation of the vocals adds to the mysteriousness.

Jam & Spoon's talent is evident in not one, but two of these mixes. The Watch Out For Stella Club Mix is one of the best versions of this outstanding song, and is really mysterious and deep. Likewise, the Sign Of The Time mix presents a more hip-hop sounding song while still maintaining the essence of the song.

Ah I finally got my hands on the original version. I suppose everyone knows this track as it was remixed to death but very few people actually know the original. What most people call the "original version" is actually the Jam& Spoon Remix done 2 years later. Anyway, for newbies to the scene a little history: Age of Love is a project by Bruno Sanchioni and few know that his is actually from Belgium (little note for Belgians: out of Mouscron of all places lol). He was behind some good New Beat projects, notably Dr Phibes and decided around the 90s to create a new sound which was later to become trance. So when people talk to you about the missing link between New Beat and trance, THIS record is probably the one to mention (ok, I'm not saying Sanchioni was the ONLY person behind what was to become the trance sound, but he was definately one of the pioneers).

So how does it sound? Well, the same elements that were remixed afterwards are still there but aranged pretty differently and the overall feeling is much closer to New Beat (which I gues is understandable). The Radio Version has some... RAPPING (yes, you heard me right), so be sure to start with the B-side which has a more underground feeling to it. The Boeing mix is the one closest to the Jam&Spoon remix. A definate must-have for all trance collectors!

In 1992, a massive trance tune made by Bruno Sanchioni (who use to release under some of the respectable New Beat alias such as Dr. Phibes, Bazz, and Chico Crew) with Guiseppe Cherchia hit the dancefloors all over Europe, and then the World. The sensual and sweet vocals saying "Come on...dance with me, move your body... Dance with me, move your body and lots of beats..." melted with the hipnotic mellow pianos made this tune a true classic, specially in the Jam & Spoon versions 'Watch Out For Stella' and 'Sign Of The Time'.
A wild growing and distorted 303 bassline is at the top of the 'Watch Out For Stella' version, perhaps the most played on the underground venues at that time. A sign that something new was going on in the electronic scene.

A startling record that made me sit up and take note of harder music. This is THE perfect trance record, so pumping & hypnotic, yet so beautiful & melodic. The 'Watch Out For Stella Mix' is the one for me!

So dark, yet so uplifting.Definately huge. Love the way it builds & builds, classic.Just like Cafe Del Mar, everyone has remixed this, but the only other mix that has even come close for me would be the Wrecked Angle Mix.

This is a true masterpiece. Alongside with Force legato's "Force Legato" on ZYX, it can be considered as the first techno-trance record ever, before the genre became , first , a genre, second, a shame.
It was composed by Bruno Sanchioni, the man behind Diki 's best releases like Plexus, Dr. Phibes or the legendary Bazz. He released great records from the french/belgian border city of Mouscron, first helping New beat to become Hard beat in the late 80', and, with this one, opening the door to a whole new genre.
At the end of the 90', he enjoyed another worldwide success with his friend Emmanuel Top as B.B.E.
Note that this track was remixed in 1992 by Jam & Spoon (at React label request), and that the remix enjoyed an even bigger success. But this one was the real blast, the trendsetting gem.

yes there is no doubt age of love the jam and spoon mix is a one os the early techno movement favorites..there is not words to explain how wonderfull this sounds .very hypnotic danceable and spiritual..one of the few word i can use ..those stella chants penetrate inside of you ..is been long time i think about 14 years and i havent heard such of spiritual and danceable techno song like this ..no questions sounded amazing and is still amazing this days and it will be amazing through years!!

True trance classic from 1992! The Watch Out For Stella Mix rules! Before the Sample "Come on, Dance with Me" comes in for the first time, there is a high-frequency squeeking sound getting louder and louder. Back in the days I used to think this was due to a faillure of the speakers in the club... ;)

Great song this one! I'm a huge tek fan now but i always used to enjoy this track! gotta love the baby doc remix and/or the original mix most though! :)
