I must agree with iamelectron on this one. The premium placed on this release is absurd...I've heard it used in early Farley mixes as rhythmic filler between more melodic tunes, where it works very well...It probably filled a void at a time before cheap drum machines came on the scene...It's as rinky-dink as some of the early Jes-say label stuff, whose greatest accolade was to inspire people to make much better tracks. The OG artwork is nifty and collectible, but as proto-house discs go, this is more "white elephant" than "holy grail".

This is an incredibly overrated record. For all its hype you’d expect some mind blowing Novaga drum programming, ideal for ripping up your 80’s mixes, but all you get are a selection of embarrassingly simple Bontempi pre-set style bossa nova beats which a trained hamster could have programmed. Am I missing something? Probably not. Save your collectors cash and look for more inspiring Italo classics.
