Alex Under is obviously on the verge of something great, and just refuses to fall into the same category with countless other minimal producers who display less talent throughout an entire album than Alex does on, let's use it to set an example, Cerebrote De Schizofrenia. I mean, check this tune out! A bouncy, trippy melody kicks off right with the track's opening, and as time passes by, carefully moulded and crafted ideas are executed via patient and hypnotic build ups, which are achieved through constant addition of layers, teasing the listener in a manner that his attention and focus will be glued to the music coming out of the speakers. Bloody awesome, and the whole part after the four minute mark on the afore mentioned track is superb, especially when that melody gets played on an adequate sound system.
Let me say it loud and clear: another sure shot from mr. Under. This is a very unique and mature take on the minimal aesthetic despite the fact it sounds very playful upon initial listens.
