Ambush, The - Everlast

What a beautiful release. It elicits very deep, often lonely emotions... but a nostalgia you cannot resist. I am continually amazed at how emotionally powerful the drums are... and the sounds themselves, not just the notes and chords.

The style, by the way, is actually more trance then techno.

this record is played from the centre of the disk and travels outwards. Very chunky techno with a short michael jackson sample repeated and tweaked through out the track until it ends up sounding like it is saying 'give up'. Rather cleverly done.
