Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5
Review by discoverme Feb 16, 2004
This compilation works very well as a whole, cohesive listening experience. The engrossing tracks are seamlessly woven into eachother by Weatherall, unlike the other Forcetracks compilations- which are also full of gems, but don't work as a complete unit like Hypercity does. With the exception of MS's sonically intense remix of Luomo's Tessio, this is Forcetracks heard "without vocals", or at least only a hint of vocals. Neither a good or a bad thing, this is the album that would be one of the closest bridges between the more minimal Force Inc. division and the Forcetracks series of the Force/MillePlateaux family.
