This music is strongly driven by musical influences in the first instance and technological ones on the second.
The musical influence is crearly noticed by Kirlian Camera. Long odd rythmic drum alike box beats and cold synthetized atmosphere with some pretty sensual organic sounds. Very much into the old school of post industrialism and its a lot more equivalent to bands from the 80s than to the actual time the work was made in, 1998. The music intends to be cinematic and sometimes seems to conquer that goal but then lacks to give more deepness and concretion to the final result which results in a poor balance and odd terms of their great musical ideas.
The second influence previoulsy mentioned is the sampler machine. Since the first aparition of this device in the music bussiness many bands has used this as his central "instrument" and sometimes it works with excellent results. But many old bands (and some new ones too) abuse from the sampler machine, tending to reduce their musical endeavors into simplistic attempts that later will be labelled as "industrial" simply becouse it sounds repetitive.
Althought Andromeda Complex has great ideas in songs like: Verbena College,Alla Placenta, Depth and Gates Of Passion which are ambient alike, strongly organic and recreating dark cinematics of sensualism and dark depth, their abuse of the sampler machine with never ending loops makes them so predictable and boring and ruins their final intents.
Maybe they can captivate your mind with their mesmeric revelations that induce trance but certainly history condemns them from have been part of the late 90s and not exceeding their own music expectatives and besides not creating a benchmark with their name.
They had the opportunity and the power to do it but unfortunately succumbed and dissapeared in the vast ocean of common and boring music equality that surrounds us these days.
