Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5

An awesome journey that flows logically and creatively - a colourful mixture of progressive/tech-trance sounds, but a bit wit it's own distinct character, a little adrift from the rest of the stuff on the scene at the turn of the millennium...

Mixed exclusively on a pair of Technics (no Ableton/Pro-Tools), Pappa keeps it real. I used to think that this put him ahead of the Sashas & Digweeds and other mainstream Global Underground players. This release was the first time I'd ever heard of him, and he made an immediate impact.

The first disc is generally a more deep, immersive experience, making it a perfect warm-up for disc 2, which is a more driving and techy/electronic-edged sound.

It's amazing. Go back 10 years, and Pappa shows you the music was just as good... this is where the current materials really got going.

This is one of the more brilliant mix sessions from Pappa. Disc1 takes you on a relaxed, yet borderline-lunatic journey which ends off where Disc2 begins. And that, is a taste of some decadently dark trance, which progresses masterfully...until the turn of events at about track11; which will shock the brackets out of any discerning listener who hasn't heard it yet. I'd give it 4.9/5
