I never thought I'd find anything comparable to and capable of holding its own against the Drexciya & alii releases, but Anthony Rother's Simulationszeitalter does so quite handily. Track 4, Biomechanik, has everything a timeless electro track should have. Especially great nighttime driving music.
Highly recommended for those who appreciate not just electro, but quality electronic music in general.
This is like to take a trip into the inner world of Anthony Rother... His technical innovation here (and probably his own style) is to combine synh sound, bass and string layers with each other... Adding some vocoders he reached the true sound an harmony of electro... Masterpice. I love it!
Dark, futuristic, moody and melodic downtempo electro with thought provoking lyrics (in German). One of those records I keep listening over and over again. If electro is your cup of tea you'll probably love this one.
Highly recommended for those who appreciate not just electro, but quality electronic music in general.
