I really like the interludes on this one, with the interviews about music. record companies: "they just screwed it up a little". Also from the same interview pieces are used in tracks for my mother (Frictional 10)

This man deserves so much more credit... he's been a-float in the detroit scene since the late 80's and has been behind some of the most consistently innovative tracks to come out of the motor city. Whilst the likes of Atkins/Saunderson/May, Carl Craig, Msr Mills and Mad Mike Banks have been in the lime light; 'Shake' Shakir has been quietly (ha! - probably not quietly at all actually) working away, lending his midas touch to his label Frictional Recordings amongst other things. This EP sees him genre bending and style slipping, with his trademark acute understanding of rhythm and the aural abstract: ONE BEAT JUST WONT DO! Check it!
