Antti Rannisto ‎– Ääniesineitä

This is an interesting first release by the finnish musician/sound artist. On first listen, it may seem a little repetitive and sterile, but closer inspection should reward the experienced minimal ear. What Antti does is to strip the clicks and cuts on offer to the basic bare bones, and uses subtle shifts and nuances to variate the music. Track 7 sums up the album perfectly. 7 mins of, what at first appears to be, a repeated phrase. But if you listen attentively, and immmerse yourself totally, it orientates and disorientates at the same time, fascinating sonics.
