If you thought you knew all about Vangelis and Demis Roussos, then this double album will probably prove you wrong. This is a record with a wide scope and although the border to pretentious kitsch is sometimes crossed (small wonder with such a title and concept), the bulk of the music is listenable and even interesting. Quite a lot of energy went into nice slices of prog-rock with elaborate arrangements, which sound mature and full of ideas. Furthermore there is Greek folk on ''The wedding of the lamb'', short incisions of odd wind instruments on ''Tribulation'' and some unclassifiable music with traces of eastern scales, church music and scorching guitars, too. Side C tends to over-exposure, but also contains a track noted by the sign for infinity, which is either an unforgettable experience or one of the most ridiculous failures ever. The vocal solo by Irene Papas on this track defies all categories. Orgasm, exorcism, bottomless fear, ecstacy, hysteria, it's all there and convincingly so. Side D is mostly typical of the prog times, but also contains quite a lot of persuading music.
