Reviews & Discussion

Cern "The Message" - what a buildup!! Turn this one up LOUD, but after that its all downhill. Very disappointing tracklisting by Armin. The artists sound impressive on paper, but the last half of the CD is really quite dull apart from Re:Locate "Waterfall" which perked me up a little bit. Dont waste your money on chasing this now.

Mixed to perfection by Armin, the CD does indeed contain some 'Big Room Trance', mainly Cern 'The Message', but the majority of the tracks sound like something for the smaller clubs and perhaps a beginning of the night set.
The CD is very uplifting and has some very strong emotions contained on trax like Armin's remix of Mark Otten's 'Mushroom Therapy' and the vocally unique 'Stonecold' by Bossanova. However, just when you think the tunes are about to lift the roof off the basslines are toned down and the mood becomes very chilled out.
All in all this set of trax peaks in the middle rather than at the end, which, although is a little disappointing only takes a litle away from what would have been a perfect mix.
Thanks Mixmag!
