Art Ethnu - Hindu Tale

Damn this one was great back in 1995, I think it even will make the crowd mad nowdays.
I first heard it in a set by Dj Marko at a local rave.
I remember the day like it was yesterday !
This is realy a hell af a stunning release, when the female-voice breaks in, the crowd must get wild on this one.
It has som very nice pan-flute tunes in it.
This is trance at his best !
You may be realy proud if you are the owner of a copy.
It seems to be one of the most wanted records in my collection.
I will take this one with me in my grave !

The cd5" of this release was released under artist name "Sun People".
As a completion on former comments,...it was the voice of Sarmila Roy ,which is renowned as one of the worlds top vocalists, which was sampled here without permission.Ironically,it is exactly her voice that makes the track worthwhile and sought after for.
As an indian she sings in Sanskrit as she does so too on the used sample.
It comes from the epic the "Mahabahrata", which was put on music by,amongst others, Sarmila .
The sample comes out of the Mahabahrata chapter : "Svetasvatara Upanisad ".
On the contrary of what one may expect, I find it astonishing that the original has a much larger integral part in the "Hindu Tale" version than the mere vocal qualities.
For instance,the original also has the very moody and sketchy backsound.
Well, if you want to use the vocal of Sarmina Roy to fool around in your own sets, find her version of "Svetasvatara Upanisad", it's almost integral as the one used in "Hindu Tale". (think away the beat)

Art Ethnu was composed in the music studio of At The Villa by Jean-Yves Vanloo the Brother of Laurence Vanloo the artistic director of At The Villa People.
The real reason why this track only exist as a Wight Label is because of the voice that has been sampled from an acapella ethnic song.
They never came to an agreement with the original owners of this acapella version and so decided it was to risky to release it on an official label.
But you can find a version on the At The Villa People compilation Volume 4.

This was going to be the next record on at the villa records but Laurence decided to stop with the At The Villa Concept before this record got its oficial relase. It only got released on promo only 350 Copies exist of this promo. (So i have been told by DJ Vince) It is written by Rosse Olive & Gauthier Malou. There is however is cd-single relase of it but this is called Sun People Hindu Tale instead of Art Ethnu.This is even harder to find.This is still a great piece of nostalgia for everybody who ever visited At The Villa at one of it's locations.
