Mellow and futuristic, Kirk Degeorgio's first album under his As One moniker demonstrates his great promise. Although Reflections doesn't show the complexity that would mark his later work, it succeeds in conjuring vast landscapes -- "Moon Over the Moab" is particularly beautiful. His Detroit influences are on full display here -- "Shambala" makes this readily evident -- but here Kirk hasn't yet forged his own sound.
