Reviews & Discussion

Rated 4/5

I think this an outstanding album. And I beg to differ from the widespread criticism of Astrix, that he is not an innovative artist. Astrix' trademark - leaving out flawless production and killer bass lines - is by far his use of breaks. He is the true master at those and I see no one even close to his timing and use of breaks. Breaks may not be a new gem but to me he has taken them to higher levels. Somehow his breaks manage to be all a break should be without ever getting cheesy.

Listen to FeeL.S.D. and check out the breaks at 5:01 and 5:15. If that is not the works of shere genius and ready to get the floor pumpin', I don't know what is!

For that alone this album is worth every penny. 5/5

This is a very well made and interesting psy-trance album. It is mostly pretty laid-back and melodic for psy-trance - something that would probably be described as "morning trance" by many, although I'm not too keen on these kind of categorizations.

Well anyway, I enjoyed every moment of listening to this album. Most, if not all, of the tracks have a nice build towards the end, and they all deliver. Make no mistake though; this isn't anything revolutionary, or something that hasn't been heard ever before. However, this is an album that has everything done right. If you are a fan of this genre and prefer melodic and not too harsh kind of trance, you're sure to like this one too.
