Reviews & Discussion

Review by aeternox Sep 19, 2004 (edited over 5 years ago)
On March 28, 2002, five years after it's initial release, this record was put on the index by the Bundesprüfstelle für Jugendgefährdende Medien (BPjM), the German government institution that 'protects' the youth against 'bad influences'. In other words: it is forbidden to sell this cd in Germany. The idea to index this album came from the Bayerische Landesjugendamt (bureau of youth affairs of Bayern). The decisive track was 'Deutschland (Has Gotta Die!)'. It is, according to the BL, 'anticonstitutional'.

This cd totally blew my mind. I heard "sick to death" on an MTV amp compliation and I was intrigued. I had no idea what I was getting into. The singer's (female) voice was totally amazing. The constantly changing hardcore licks are totally insane (and I can't stand hardcore!). This album set my musicial tone for a good part of my freshman year of high school and would set up my taste for electronic music. Crazy stuff on this album. Crazy.
