Atrium Carceri - Souyuan

Never repeating himself, Simon Heath released his 5th album under his Atrium Carceri moniker. A brief history would show his first 2 albums Cellblock and Seishinbyouin, were very ambient the latter included a lot of voice samples. His next 2 albums, Kapnobatai and Ptahil, were much more industrial and noisey. Souyuan is much more ambient, maybe even more so then Cellblock. I'd say this album's theme is emotion as the songs seem almost depressing and sad. Obviously none of his work has been cheerful but Souyuan targets your memories and sadness. Cinematic as always.
