Initially released through Bleep, starting with track 1 on 19 May and releasing the rest of the tracks incrementally over the following two weeks. When the final track was downloaded in ZIP format, an additional, 14th "track" was included, containing all the track-by-track artwork. This was the only way to obtain the artwork.

Track by track release dates are as follows:
Track 1 – 19 May 2008
Track 2 – 20 May 2008
Track 3 – 21 May 2008
Track 4 – 22 May 2008
Track 5 – 23 May 2008
Track 6 – 23 May 2008
Track 7 – 23 May 2008
Track 8 – 23 May 2008
Track 9 – 27 May 2008
Track 10 – 27 May 2008
Track 11 – 28 May 2008
Track 12 – 29 May 2008
Track 13 – 30 May 2008

After the EP's original release through Bleep, other download vendors released the EP as well but in a series of four bundles; each with its own unique title and catalog number.

Reviews & Discussion

Review by Synesthesist Jun 10, 2008
This release, which is Autechre's first digital-only release, contains enough downbeat tracks to compile them into the ambient record Autechre never made. This alone makes it worth your while. Also these longer, reworked versions of tracks that were relatively short on the Quaristice album, allow the listener to focus on the incredible detail that's hidden in the background of the music. This is especially true for the final track, at over 58 minutes an album by itself, slowly developing, shifting attention and mood. A very engaging listen.
