It is definitely not what the guys had envisioned when originally creating this beautiful and necessary work. I've listened to both Entroducing and this quite extensively, and I have to give it to The Avalanches for topping Entroducing. One could not exist without the other, but I feel the Avalanches pushed the limit on the amount and obscurity as opposed to Shadow. My favourite has changed quite a bit on this record, is no longer Frontier Psychiatrist. That is taken by "A Different Feeling" or "Stay Another Season."
This record takes me back to playing basketball on blacktop as well as kickball in the cul-de-sac during the summer, just as one reviewer envisioned on All-Music. A time where I was mixing it up and truly being a kid.
Again, the LP that you want is MODVL004. This is the Australian version with all samples intact, but sadly without the amazing song "Everyday."
The best album of 2000.
