The repress version has the labels put on the wrong sides of the vinyl. I have both versions in hand and can see the mistake. Westway is an incredible example of minimal house/techno. Baby Ford making something big out of a few small pieces. Westway is the track with the piano in it by the way.
As usual, Baby ford comes with another hypnotic Killer.
"Westway" is simple but ingeniously effective and deep.It has the typical addictive "Perlon" kick combined with very simple but killer piano synth. The more you play this track, the more you like it, I can not say this for many other minimal productions?!
Few producers can put so much emotion in a very tight budget of beats using very few musical elements in one track.
This resemble his genius remix of {Leigh Dickson 'Praise' (Baby Ford Remix) 2002 on Qube Records}.
"Tin of worms" is really dry after hours track, Maybe I will play it late in the morning to give it justice. This track comes with the usual kick, hi hat, drums with a dubby synth that goes on and on. I am not sure about this one ?
