At the eve of the Neptunes explosion this remix came along, it's so good it makes you respect the Backstreet Boys, go figure. Superthug and Got Your Money had Pharrell's phone ringing off the hook; at 27 he achieved his goal in life: to be the most respected music producer in the world. Some genius at the Jive offices must have thought the Boys were in need of a ghettopass and filed for a Williams & Hugo invoice. This gem got made waaaaay before they could charge 120K a piece but believe me, it's worth millions. I don't now how but the men behind the board make the tacky BB gospelpop sound raw - there's a pounding bassline to keep the bodies moving and every single time I played this out all the girls start screaming when they hear the vocal harmonies. Unbelievable. Add Clipse to the mix and it's a wrap.
