Bam Bam ‎– Where Is Your Child (Archiv #02)

I highly recommend picking up this acid house classic if you missed it the first time around. DJ Rush, alas, puts in another predictable sort of remix here - distorted filter drums added and not much else. Flip it for the more enjoyable original version with the creepy "Phuture" like vocals that bring back memories of wayward Manhattanite trust fund kids out past curfew on a headful of E. "Give It To Me" is the stripped down acid house original with the minimal acid bassline, not the more sample-heavy version that you may have heard (with the "Scooby Doo" intro and the sampled disco strings.)

Keep the 'Archive Series' coming, Tresor. Oh, to the cranky "purist" (Mr. "f--k the Archive Series") - whatever. "They're only doing this to make money" - yeah, as if most labels, even 'big' ones like Tresor, weren't struggling in this era of MP3's and whatnot. Well, you know, if anyone were just interested in money they'd be in about ANY industry besides the techno industry. As if re-releasing acid house classics is some sort of cheap cash-in ploy..?!?! give me a break. If anyone wanted to make some bucks off this industry they'd be cranking out prog-trance anthem CD's, not this sort of thing. Cranky music purists never die, do they...
