Baron - A Modern Way / The Hitsquad

I think the A-side track is hilarious - cheap synth sound indeed + the speech he uses is pretty 'im so great' kinda stuff but that makes it great opener of sets, 1st weird intro, then drop with 'contact-contact' vocal, then a few loops with mid-range followed by ultra-low end bass frenzy mayhem. Other thing i like about this track is that it doesn't stick to regular dnb track progression (although this makes it a bitch to mix)

This is a very hit and miss offering from Baron. "A Modern Way" has dubious vocals and mediocre synths, but the flip side, "The Hitsquad", is a killer track with a heavy bassline and an awesome sample: "Oh, I think you need all that bass. I think you need a system that can handle what you want!". This one is worthwhile for "The Hitsquad" alone--just don't plan on playing the A-side out too much.
