The Summer Bootleg Remix will certainly put a little bit of sun in your life. Maybe a bit of nostalgia. Maybe both. I usually don't like Basement Jaxx remixes, but I must admit they did a great job on this one. Thumbs up!
The Tim Deluxe House mixes, proudly announced by Lisa Kekaula ("Remix!"), are powerful and vigorous, with an effective bassline and dynamic percussions. A few sound effects and drum samples are still making it very Basement Jaxx sound alike.
The Roni Size mixes are giving into Drum & Bass and are faster than the other mixes. But just like the Tim Deluxe mixes, there is a touch of the original into it which I appreciate a lot.
The last track is the rare Acapella from the Summer Bootleg Mix. Here we can freely appreciate the naked, powerful voice of Lisa Kekaula, a name to remember. I'm sure we're gonna hear more from her soon.
