Reviews & Discussion

Review by ToxicTwinz Oct 27, 2004 (edited over 5 years ago)
Since the release of the last album much has changed in personell with Beanfield. Tobi Meggle has left the band to dedicate his time to his own projects. Left is long-time Beanfielder Jan Krause, who has gotten musical support from Michael Mettke (Trueby Trio, Fauna Flash). The new album is called "Seek", which was recorded it this new line-up. The record is more diverse than ever, combining Soul with Breaks, Jazz with Electronica. It all sounds very well-rounded and creates a nice atmosphere, very acoustic indeed. The first vocal-track with guest-vocalist Baika proves this already. Her unique voice transcends this song into something special. You can also hear on "Home". Other guests include Ernesto and Marzenka. Songs like "Someone Like You" feat. Ernesto give this album a special note as well. "Vertigoheel" and "Welcome" feat. Marzenka are somewhat electronical, making "Seek" nice, well-rounded record. A flawless, innovated piece of art. -c- ToxicTwinz
