Notes
Please note this master is to be used for the version of the song which was recorded on Tuesday 11th September 1962 at Abbey Road Studios. This version has an uncredited Andy White on drums and can be identified by the presence of a tambourine which was played by Ringo Starr.
The earlier recording, which features Ringo Starr on drums and does not contain any tambourine playing was only available in a few countries in the '60s. The UK and some other editions can also be identified by the presence of the matrix number 7XCE 17144-1N in the runout. See the Master Release for full details of these releases.

Nothing wrong with media, but horrid little plastic case won't hold cd so expect it to jump out when you hold open - the UK versions are far preferable - you won't get a (useless) longbox but you will get a decent cd insert clip.referencing Love Me Do (7", 45 RPM, Single) T 9008

According to Billboard: chart entry on April 11, 1964.
According to Wikipedia: US release on April 27, 1964.
Just curious... what was the Billboard chart entry based on in the first three weeks? It cannot be from sales of an unreleased single...
a. airplay of import copies?
b. sales of import copies?
c. airplay of import album version? (LMD was not featured on any US album back then)
I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.- I believe this to be a standard 7" release that has had its label "washed off" and then hand written and in my opinion should be regarded as a fake!

The "Andy White" version of Love Me Do with Ringo on tambourine.- Edited 4 years agoThis reissue uses the "Andy White" drumming version with Ringo on Tambourine recorded on 11 Sep. 1962. The original 1962 UK single is the Ringo version as recorded one week earlier on 4 Sep 1962.

About time these items have been documented with photos of blister packs. I’ve always wanted to to do it but since I’ve had a stroke anything I’ve tried to do on Discogs I’ve been met with almost hostile replies. Has anyone else had this???referencing Love Me Do (7", Single, Reissue) B-5189
I do not believe this to be stereo unless it is rechannelled. Does anyone else agree with me on this?
