It's a pity that Beaumont Hannant's _Tones_ was never released, because if _Notions of Tonality, Vol. 2_ is any indication, it would have been a stormer. "Sprint (A83 Mud)" is reminiscent of "Psi-Onyx," but much tighter and slightly scarier with its disembodied tones like ghostly voices. "Broken Love" continues with the solid beats, sonically dense and foreboding. “It's So Cold Here" slows down to a shuffle, with the accompanying icy tones, and “A Coffee With Benson” has a haunting, dreamlike quality. Though _Tones_ may be lost to history, I'll certainly take what I can get off this EP.
