'Energy Flash' is another example (if indeed any more were needed) of the strength of the musical relationship between simplicity and effectiveness. Yet categorising such an impressive piece of techno as merely 'simple yet effective' does little to convey the sheer quality of the music on display. After all, 'Energy Flash' is a relentless sonic assault that hooks you tightly and reels you in for more time and time again. Its dark, moody, rumbling bassline is capably supported by some ear-splitting beats and wave after wave of pulsating effects. Furthermore, the crispness of the 'clapping' additions on the percussion applies the finishing touches to a pioneering piece of electronic music that sounds as impressive today as it must have done upon release some fifteen years ago.

This has to be one of the most well known of all Club records. Fans of Deep House,Techno,Hardcore or whatever derivative of club music they follow, all have a liking for this track. Played in every club across the globe and respected by so many. Whether it be the deep, churning bassline or the murky synths and chants of "Ecstasy, Ecstasy" Beltram forces you to take notice of his masterpiece.
I'm pretty sure that most wil remember where they were the first time they heard this record....regardless of their state of mind at the time! ;)

Though not my current bag, this record clearly marks the move towards the clean and dubby production styles which are now the standard of all current and *relevant* genres, encompassing the ranges of both house and techno. Stripped-down and bassline-oriented, it's a seminal piece... A masterpiece of simplicity during an (unfortunate) age of baroque nonsense (1992-1995)! Beltram... ou est vous? We'd love to hear some deep and funky driving house from you! Afterall, your early NuGroove releases were pure house through and through... Do you still love NYC? Consider this a challenge... :) Wazzz Uppp? God forbid some crack pipe bull sh** took you away... COOOOMMMMEEEE BBBBAAAACCCKKK!!!
