On first listen this sounded like a lot of other minimally funky techno. Then I listened to "Glotsback" (the original version) again. And again. And then again. This track doesn't have minimal funk. It's funky minimal. That darn mischievous 2-note bassline just sneaks up on you and moves your stiff hips. And there's a sub-bassline as well. Nice and subtle. Yet another top-shelf release from the Foundsound camp. "Glotsback" really demands a decent sound system with a healthy low end; otherwise the funky bassline will go unnoticed. This ain't pop music that sounds just fine on a boombox or your crap ipod earphones.
