Notes
All pieces are computer sequenced using digitally edited samples (with exception of untitled I/92, which consists entirely of synthesized sounds) in a kind of 'what-you-hear-is-what-get' compositional approach that uses flexible strategies rather than a preconceived idea.
Both structural and phenomal listening approaches seem perfectly adequate, while I generally discourage associational listening.
Total running time: 73 min
The music on this CD is intended to be listened to at very low volume!

An absolute masterpiece by the most challenging electronic musician of the 90's. This release has changed the view on music for a lot of people, this is the kind of very influencial records that marks time. Its estetic of extreme reduction, of perpetual quietness is something that takes you deep & far, travelling through a soundworld where a perpetual suspension is not used as a tool for a fake meditative feeling, but rather to elevate the listener in a different perception, where silence becomes alive. Bernard Gunter gives us the possibility to (re)discover the joy of mystery.
This is a true classic of electro-acoustic music, along the mastery of Pierre Henry, Bernard Parmegiani and Luc Ferrari.
