This bicep release tears me apart inside. I like it, it's pretty funky, but I just don't know whether I'm into this early 90s revival business. I remember tunes like this the first time round. For every 1 tune that was amazing (Kings street shit, Kerri and the like) there were 10 absolute shockers.. I think it ended up being called "happy house', eugh. Growing up where I did, I heard all the shockers, and none of the good shit. No wonder we all liked techno, and looked down on house. Lets hope the revival has a better hit rate than the original scene.

Bicep isn't reinventing the wheel here, but house music isn't exactly about that either.

"Getcha Boi" incorporates feel good horns in the way few other tracks in my memory have, and alone makes it worth the purchase.

recipe 2012 'old skool house revival' music. all tracks sound decent, but nothing spectacular, 80% same 'pay4wav' samples throughout the entire release. hyped up mainly because of their online identity and of course because of the 'vinyl only limited pressing' craze which is flooding the 'elitist vinyl' market since last year which is rather ironical considering Bicep has built it's name and reputation from sharing vinyl rips on their blog.
