The A side's Powerloss and Nightwatch are what make this release. Powerloss is deep, intimately minimal dancefloor material with just a twinge of the "progressive" sound, employed in a way that frees the track from the tradition of cliche and convention that has become, for all intents and purposes, ubiquitous within progressive dance music.
Nightwatch, however, is the shining star of this release. Innovative, but hard to describe in a meaningful way, so here's a list of descriptors that come to mind: "deep," "tech," "climactic," "brooding"... and definitely, definitely hip.
