The unique aspect of the Norwegian disc of NOVELTY WAVES remixes are, of course, the Aedena Cycle mixes. The "Ambient Mix," as can be expected, is beatless but fills up the sonic spaces with synth washes and the occasional run of digital bloops, until the original bass line eventually creeps in. The other "Aedena Cycle Mix" has more of the darkness that marked the original, including a firm 4/4 beat and the clattering percussion. Good, but not quite essential.
