Technological, as featured here, is also on the first Bizarre Inc. album of the same name, which also lacks a bit of action to my taste.
The treasures of this 12" lie definitely on the B-side. Mark (Archer)'s Downtown Chicago Mix sounds much like typical later Altern 8 stuff with synth stabs and a house/breakbeat combination which of course here is still on 1989 level. Notable also the use of a really weird vocal sample of a women sighing.
This vocal sample is almost the only thing Mark's mix has in common with Dean (Meredith)'s Rockford Illinois Mix, which is the highlight here for me sounding very playful and uplifting and combining tons of different melodic samples into a harmonic tune. The mix is a little strange with the pianos very much to the forefront, though.
