Soulful, Magical, just plain wonderful.. This album has it all, the Marcus Eoin , Michael Sandison brothers has created something extrodinary with this album, not only the fact that they are able to create unique sounds with analogue equipment they are also very creative and they succes to deliver a album wich you will keep on replay on and on forever.

Smashing songs like Boc Maxima, Everything you do is a balloon wich such diffrences makes the album never ending good and its a instant classic.

This is a must have for most ambient/idm/downtempo lovers and especially for BoC fans.

BoC's best albume and its worth every penny.

This is without doubt the best thing BOC have done- so many gems here: M9, Whitewater, June 9th, etc....totally unique and as such indispensable. Watching the Northern Lights to Skimming Stones and Original Nlogax is something you should all try.

I heard this album after I had already heard BoC's newer albums, and I still think this is their finest work.

The tracks flow incredibly well, and some of their older tracks such as "Red Moss" and the tracks from Hi Scores may even be better than their newer tracks on Geogaddi and TCH. This album is a must-have for all fans of Boards of Canada. I spent many hours looking for this album, and I don't regret the time it took, because this album is worth it.

Everytime I hear this album I fall deeper in love with the sounds of Boards of Canada. Whoa that was a long sentence. Anyways, BOC Maxima is a great album, the first that I'd heard from them. It's so damn chill, it almost makes me lethargic, but in the most happy way possible. I want to hang out with these guys - I've seen pictures of their studio (mostly old analog equipment, percussion instruments and guitars), and I would simply love to see them in action.

Great album. Definetly pick it up if you like chill, relaxed, ambient music with a great beat.

Boc Maxima is like a rougher more agressive version of 'music has a right to children' The track 'Chinook' Bares a striking resemblance to 'ideoteque' by Radiohead.
Not as melodic as 'music has a right to children' and definetly more beat orientated. This record makes a welcome variance from some of their more recent music.
