A suprising record, simple but emotionally deep. It has a youthfull flair to it, that induces immediate nostalgia. Many different styles of electronic music are covered in these four tracks (ambient, electro and down tempo). The melodies on top of laid-down synth chords remind of early aphex recordings and it is no wonder that it is often mistaken for an aphex twin release, although it has a recognizable classy italian style. Bochum welt's sound is thus related to D'Arcangelo, also on rephlex.
I believe there was a limited number of copies of this release, not sure how many. Often mislabeled as Aphex Twin on many file sharing servers. Though only 4 tracks it is enjoyable every moment. It's got that happy simplicity to it, but is not too repetative. The main concentration seems to be the melody rather than the beat. Atmospheric synths and a nice analogue touch. If you can't find it on ebay, I suggest downloading, though you should buy it if you can.
