This CD is really good. There are lots of different kinds of house on this CD. You've got your funky disco kind, and your deeper, trackier stuff. Oh yeah, did I mention that it's really good?

I live in the US, and I had to shell out 25 bucks for 8 tracks to be delivered here from the UK. But you know what? It was well worth it. I, along with many others, discovered Bougie Soliterre from the first track of Naked Music's Nude Dimensions Volume 2. That track "Superficial" is in here, in its full glory. Other notables are the supremely funky "Besides You" and "Bougez." Then, switching it up from that, you've got your jazzy, deep-sound, sultry "Common Thread" and "Got The Bug."

Everywhere you look in this CD, you've got something interesting. This is good house music. If you can find it, I suggest buying this CD.

I’m inclined to give Bougie Soliterre a break -- she’s one of the few female producers in house today. But after listening to Simple Things, I realize that I don’t have to: her music stands on its own wonderfully. “Got the Bug” is a catchy track, with its high-pitched tones and breathy utterances. “Bougez (Remix)” sounds like it came straight from the heydays of Studio 54. The standout is obviously “Superficial,” which gained notoriety by appearing on a Naked Music compilation. It’s a gorgeous piece of work, sinewy and fluid, buoyed by Kavita Singh’s aching vocals. Just goes to show: house is not just a boy’s club.
