Clarendon was the tune that everyone made a fuss about, and it is a very good tune, dark and dubby.

But for me this release was always about The Shroud.
Breakage is a big dubstep fan and you can here it in this tune, it doesnt have a 'regular' 2-step structure, nor does it even have a snare drum at all as it militantly moves in a half step fashion..
The beat is a series of muffled clicks which sound like sparks or tape noise, this unique percussion is driven by a deep kick beat.
Of course it has a monster of a bassline that fuses all the element together.

It sounds real industrial, mechanical, the way it just drives and drones on, but also due to the dub influences it also sounds somehow organic.

All I can see is, play this on a proper set up, with some proper subs in there and which the people and the earth move.

I remember hearing this for the first time in summer of 06'. I was in las angeles by chance Breakage was playing at the big d club. I didn't know who he was, or what he was doing but when he dropped this tune a the whole place went into existential bliss, posses of hoes pulsating in one motion on the dance floor, etc... I was totally relieved because the stupids mc shut up and i thought finally i get to hear some real drum and bass
