One could also argue that the collaboration of B.E.F. with Tina Turner on "Ball Of Confusion" was the start of the complete resurrection of her career in the Eighties. Her version of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" was produced by the B.E.F guys and was the first single to be released from her Private Dancer album.

Although some think of this as bizarre (see note above), I think it's one of the best 80's albums. With all the different artists contributing, it sounds as if it's going to be just an ordinary, run-of-the-mill compilation, but it isn't. As Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh contribute most of the backing tracks, it forms a cohesive entity. Just to let you know my favorite track is "It's Over" with vocals by Billy Mackenzie.

N.B. A "dub" version of "Secret Life of Arabia" was included on an 80's compilation album called "Methods of Dance" (Virgin)
