The 12" release of 'Booty La La' (off the ‘Got The Bug' Album) comes with an extended version plus two Psyan mixes and a 'bootypella'. The album version was played by Radio 1’s Lowe, Tong and Gilles prior to this 12” release. The extended version is not much longer than the album version which is a shame but it’s a P-Funk Jaxx crossbreed that really hits the dance floor in the balls. The ‘Booty Bounce Dub' is not particularly Dub at all. And there's no avoiding the ‘La La La La La Laaaa' hook on B1 (which some might find irritating) and the bleeps of a Hospital cardiac arrest machine (which I found irritating). The Bootleg Mix is more like it as it's a variation on a theme but the original remains the best. It's one of the club tracks of the year and was voted No. 1 in Gilles Peterson's Worldwide All Winners track of the Year 2004. Congratulations and lets have an original Bugz album to match it in 2005.
