Omen is a odd sort of minimal meets psy meets progressive breaks multi-car wreck that covers a huge range of sounds and styles and, more importantly sounds pretty good. If the track does have a weakness it is that it is long. I love long tracks more than most, but the amount of progression in this track doesn't seem to merit eleven minutes of music. W-Omen is basically nothing more than the mainstream progressive trance mix of Omen. As a psy dj I would probably have very little interest in this, and during those rare times when I mix progressive trance my impression is that, while this track is definately usable and has some good sounds and a nice vibe, it doesn't strike me as a track I would be reaching for often either. Flying Rhino was experimenting with the mainstream side of things during this period, so it is not surprising this mix would be here. That said, the psy-fan in me is well aware of what the people in Bumbling Loons are capable of and wishes that they would have had a chance for a completely different and new track rather than essentially a progressive trance remix.
