Typical Calibre output. Nothing really new or interesting really. Same sound you would expect from him. Album really great for the die hard Calibre fan who doesn't like their artists to change or grow. Nothing unexpected. Can get a bit boring after a while because of the lack of diverse sounds, but for people who like their artists to remain in a box its great. Artwork is not very appealing at all - poor graphics and colour.

It's a solid lp and only seems lackluster for those who like their music impactful and garish. Calibre's music seeps into you and is very soulful. His production is tastefully and gracefully executed, and this album is a classy album of sexy deep rollers. Nothing stale about it: the album is called shelflife for a reason. A large portion of these tunes were written years ago yet stand up completely to the liquid funk/chill dnb output of today.
