Camaro's Gang - Fuerza Major / Corn Flakes

Camaro's Gang was one of the more experimental italo disco groups, as they tried out quite a few different instruments and sounds in their many releases. "Ali Shuffle" is quite the electro/club song, and still enjoys success today due to its unique flavor. "Bronx Invasion" is a synth-pop song that tries to follow in the footsteps of other new wave bands in the later half of the 80's. 'Decamerone', their only album (LP) is full of all sorts of fun stuff. However, it's "Fuerza Major" that I consider to be the ultimate production by Camaro's Gang. I first heard the song in an italo boot mix many years ago. This single song is what started my love for italo disco music. Those powerful male vocals singing about the lonely skies and a New York discotheque - it was clear that Camaro's Gang were some Italians looking to sing from the heart. I spent many years seeking the lyrics to this song and to this day, I still can not sing along to because the vocalists had very bad English skills, and it appears nobody else on the web has deciphered the lyrics either. The words fuerza and major don't even make grammatical sense in Italian, English, or any language. All in all, I think that this song, when created, was meant to be a synthesizer driven masterpiece with lyrics and language being the last thing on the producers minds. As is the case with many other italo songs, it's the mysterious production values that adds to the prestige of some releases. I still think that "Fuerza Major" is one of the most original and lovely italo disco songs ever made.
