Reviews & Discussion

Rated 5/5
Review by restless Jul 12, 2009
Often magnificient album from Chris Bell in a desolated, deliquescent morphine and whisky fuelled country-rock mood.
But, where one can prefer "You And Your Sister"'s heavenly interpretation by This Mortal Coil instead of the slightly messy/drunk original present here, one song particularily hits the soul : "Look Up".
An absolutely breathtaking moment of slowed-down jesus-on-heroin-mysticism sung with an aching fallen angel voice, that can easily bring the toughest listener to tears. One to be played at 1st class funerals.
