Chris Clark's --- Empty The Bones In You, is an improvement, not neccessarily in skill but as far as style. Clarence Park was more of a decendant of the late 90's Aphex Twin material. This album seems to show that Chris Clark has figured out his little 'niche'...with his typical off the wall melodies, and sometimes meloncholy themes. And there are plenty of 'Glitch' friendly tracks on here for you 'IDM' nuts =). Check out 'Empty The Bones In You' not only if you enjoyed his previous album, but if you like the sharp messy sounds of Glitchy IDM penetrating your ear-drum ^_^.

Awesome release, been getting into it pretty hard lately. Beautifully haunting melodies pull you in and calm you down. This is something I will eventually purchase on vinyl and cd.

'Ceramics Is the Bomb' is pretty great also. So far I'm really liking what I'm hearing of Chris Clark.

my #1 record of 2003, though i stumbled upon it recently - and got stunned. hauntingly beautiful arranged tracks somewhere between ambient, noise(-lite) and breakbeats that go deep if being listened to very closely. they're driving and pushing you forward, though at the same time, relaxing and calming you. one could say it's a rather dark album, but it's shimmering with a lot of, sometimes hidden, beauty - you always get both worlds.

Chris Clark’s second album, EMPTY THE BONES OF YOU, is a much more sonically dense, much more complex work than his debut CLARENCE PARK. The very first track, “Indigo Optimus,” flows from dark and claustrophobic roots into an almost symphonic end. There’s also the shrill and beautiful “Early Moss” which is sure to challenge even the most jaded of eardrums, or the quiet growling menace of “Wolf.” “Slow Spines” glitches and toots along in an arctic tundra soundscape. Much of the album stays at an icy reserve, very cool and cerebral (“Umbilical Hut” is a perfect example of this as well). “Betty” ends the album with another symphony orchestra stranded on an ice floe, watching the aurora borealis. An excellent album.

Also my personal favorite too. His best album so far. Ceramics is too abstract and 'IDM' for my taste, and Clarence Park has too many meaningless short noise tracks. Empty the bones is more my style. Favorites are tracks like Wolf, Holiday as a brutality and Indigo Optimus. Great stuff.

I believe this release is a vast improvement over his last release 'ceramics is the bomb'. This album is very deep, with glitchy, chunky beats that complement the beautiful melodies nicely. Definitely worth a listen.
