Reviews & Discussion

After listening to this album a couple of times i felt i just had to say this:
it saddens me to see one of my idols in techno make such a plunge. The advent even after Colin left, was all about energy. It was very fast and consisted of layer upon layer upon layer of carefully selected sounds. The tracks were always built in a similar way but never bored you at any point.
This album has nothing of that flair, the techno tracks lack energy and sounds lack inspiration. At no point can you hear Cisco play with layer of sounds as he used to.
Tresor west is the exception on this album, the track definitely has the Cisco touch, but even then it's not one of his best tracks ever.
Electro tracks on the album are too cold and too empty, you are stuck with a feeling of: 'was that it? No i've must have missed something.'
This release just isn't good enough, basic ideas are ok but some of the tracks really need more work; others are simply beyond any help.
Really it saddens me to say: back to the drawing board Cisco cause this won't do!
